Role: Marketing and Community Coordinator

Summary

We’re looking for a versatile Marketing and Community Coordinator to join our team. This role will involve a mix of content creation, social media management, customer service, and other marketing tasks to help our business reach, engage, and retain our customers. This is an independent contractor role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Conducting market research to gather information on the preferences and needs of our target demographic.
* Managing social media platforms, creating and scheduling posts, and engaging with our online community.
* Creating engaging content like blog posts, videos, and infographics tailored to our target audience.
* Managing email marketing campaigns, including creating newsletters and promotional content.
* Conducting client outreach via social media or email to promote our services.
* Providing excellent customer service, responding to inquiries, and providing support to existing customers.
* Building relationships with companies for affiliate marketing opportunities.
* Implementing and managing a referral program that rewards existing clients for referrals.
* Engaging with our audience by participating in forums, Facebook groups, and other community platforms.
* Collecting feedback from existing clients to improve our services.
* Collaborating with influencers or experts to create collaborative content or programs.
* Collecting and managing customer reviews and testimonials for marketing purposes.
* Planning and organizing local events, workshops, or meetups to promote our brand.
* Analyzing data from website traffic and campaigns to refine marketing strategies.
* Conducting competitor analysis for insights and market positioning.
* Reaching out to existing clients to promote higher-tier subscription plans or upsell additional services.

 

Qualifications:

*Strong interest in improving the health of the Black community.
* Strong knowledge of social media platforms and community engagement strategies.
* Basic understanding of data analysis and marketing metrics.
* Experience with email marketing and content creation.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Reflective and receptive to providing and receiving professional feedback.
* Collaborative, collegial, goal-oriented, mission-driven, accountable, responsible, self-managed, and self-motivated with effective communication skills.
* Working with other team members.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Time management, both personal and regarding others.
*Must be a digital native, and very comfortable using the following: G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar), Asana (project management software), Social Media, Zoom, and adaptable to new software and systems.
* The ability to work independently and remotely.
* Flexibility with hours and working times, including being available to work evening and weekend hours, as needed.
